Anyway, maybe preservation is not the promise that nothing will ever disappear. Maybe it is simply the refusal to let it disappear quietly.
@Lampontheapp@Pirat_Nation Maybe it's not fake, nor outrage. Maybe we're just kinda sad that we grew up on physical video game media, and that era is (for the most part) ending.
Video game publishers should at least start to make hardcover art/behind-the-scenes books the same size as video game cases. I, for one, would buy these.
@ObsoleteSony Thank you! I love these smaller efforts to keep physical publications alive. My bookshelf is well stocked with gaming and tech history, and I'm looking forward to adding this one. Off to back the hardcover!
Took this off the shelf today and realized how closely it aligns with how I think about games.
A Profound Waste of Time isn't really about content. It's about moments. Creative risks, studio stories, things that only made sense then.
Fallout creator Tim Cain has returned to Obsidian full-time.
He canโt talk about the project yet due to an NDA (โdonโt bother guessingโ). Hmmm...
In any case, seeing a legend return to the studio he helped shape is really exciting.
