Yeah let's give the most financially lucrative sporting event in the world to a country that hates football AND foreigners. What's the worst that could happen??
@_AmandaKerri@richardsonoldie No one is complaining about Mexico or Canada, they’re complaining about the US hosting a 'world' cup when they’re hostile to foreigners. Previously countries have been stripped of hosting rights for refusing to allow teams and fans access.
@prollysos@taremwa_samuel9@chippy_the_guv@djg23 There is a second double jeopardy rule that says that if a player makes a careless challenge that stops a promising attack, which is a yellow card offence, and concedes a penalty, the yellow card is downgraded to no card. It was not DOGSO due to covering defender.
@Ayle_Vermillion@sleepynovelite If Cover gave them the IP, the person would then have to pay Tax on the transfer as the transferring of the IP will be considered as income by the Tax Authorities. It won’t be zero value legally, and as Cover are a big company in the industry, the tax bill could be huge.
@EBlade3529@BBCMOTD@BBCSport You assume incorrectly. Arsenal win at Crystal Palace and they win the League, GD doesn't matter. Man City also need to win, drawing against Bournemouth would give Arsenal the title.
@KurusakiYamato@LichVtuber This isn't true, the second season is not close to the end of the manga content and Season 3 has already been confirmed to air Fall 2027.
@AnalisaUTD@7ontheshirt You might consider it as such, but the Referees are specifically only penalising holding onto a GK's arm when the ball is in play. Arsenal had a goal disallowed a few years back for the same thing.
@Offgrid67Rob@johnnythunde247@venturepictures If you’re a Veteran, did you not find it insulting that Trump mocked European soldiers who died fighting alongside the US in the Middle East before? I can say that burned a lot of bridges here.
@knightlyscholar@Nath22717146@venturepictures NATO is a defensive alliance, not an offensive alliance. Plus, the only time Article 5 was used was by the United States, and your President mocked and insulted our dead soldiers who died after responding. Why would we help a damaging offensive war for a man who mocks our dead?
@knightlyscholar@Nath22717146@venturepictures If the US doesn't need Europe, they shouldn't care that Europe isn't helping them. The US administration just whines and whines about Europe, if it's so bad just leave. Otherwise it's just a needless clown show.
@knightlyscholar@Nath22717146@venturepictures I don't understand why it's so difficult to understand that European Countries will act in their own self interest in the same way the US is acting in their own.
We aren't aligned in this. Fine. So why does the US President keep whining about us? Just quit us and be on your own.
@Tazhawkeye@venturepictures@kysilvercreek The UK does not have a standard tariff against the US, the UK has a standard tariff against all countries it does not have a trade agreement or treaty with. Furthermore, the US are the ones who have routinely threatened to raise tariffs in breach of their own deals with us.
@Offgrid67Rob@johnnythunde247@venturepictures@kysilvercreek Genuine question here - why don’t you just close them, then? If Europeans don’t want them and it’s just for “convenience”, then leave. Everyone 'wins' even if they have different reasons for feeling that way. Problem solved.
@Tazhawkeye@venturepictures@kysilvercreek In practise, the US has been treating every single country as an adversary thanks to their inconsistent tariffs and Trump's childish temper tantrums. All it’s done is force countries to be friendlier to China to compensate. Congrats America.
@knightlyscholar@Nath22717146@venturepictures As far as Europe is broadly concerned, the US has an incredibly inconsistent and hypocritical administration. They want to be “America First” but then somehow find it confusing when the European countries put themselves first in kind. The US quit us first, they can deal with it.
@G4brym@denisyurchak To be fair to them at least on the first bit, USD payments outside of the United States normally *have* to route via a United States bank, such as Citibank, to process. It’s why you can’t make USD payments on American Bank holidays, they process next day.
@NixNix2017@Darkshaman98@VTuberHistorian To be fair, it’s been confirmed that that’s just a standard phrase that every member can use to broadly summarise why they’re leaving, so they can keep details as private as they want. This time that might just be the real cause though.
