MIYETTI ALLAH COMMENDS PRESIDENT TINUBU FOR RESOLVING CRISIS IN BENUE STATE

The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria MACBAN appreciates the efforts being made by President Bola Tinubu to address the communal and farmers-herders crisis in Benue State and other parts of the country.

Miyetti Allah, in a statement by it's President Baba Usman Ngalzama, also thanks the President for having the courage to urge political and traditional leaders in Benue State to seek ways to live in peace with one another.

The association hopes that the President's visit will help restore the much-needed peace to Benue State and Nigeria as a whole.

The association commiserates with the government and good people of Benue State, and indeed all Nigerians, over the needless and senseless loss of lives and the destruction of property caused by the recent outbreak of crisis in the state.

MACBAN, as the umbrella organization of Fulani cattle breeders and herders in Nigeria, is committed to the peaceful and harmonious coexistence of the over three hundred ethnic groups in the country.

Miyetti Allah therefore urges political, traditional, religious, and community leaders in Benue State to dedicate themselves to the cause of harmonious living among our agrarian and livestock-rearing communities, and to stop promoting divisive narratives that are counterproductive and do not enhance the cause of peace.
