"its all good, he wanted to watch tv, is that okay?" and for the first time in his life he was a little nervous and didn't know what to do, but he really didn't want to mess this up this time.

"sure buddy." he takes the bag and pulls it open before holding it back out to the boy.

and they were so close back then, until everything went to shit and he could put the blame on their dad, but he himself was just as much to blame. "i figured you hadn't had them in a while so.."

"one of those are for your mama." he looked to maya now. "you used to love them when we were kids, remember?"
