About a week before the lockdown, I returned a copy of "Dune" to the library. The due date was fast approaching, and I thought "When am I ever gonna have time to finish this?"

What if the USPS became an ISP? Everyone gets a USPS email address, they put a hotspot in every public mailbox, and they offer basic residential broadband for the price of a book of stamps? They could even sell chromebooks at the post office.
