This #Ambulocetus natans cast is a part of our "Great Whales Travelling Exhibit". The Ambulocetus was a large creature that lived both on land and in water. Even though the Ambulocetus is an ancestor of the modern whale, its appearance is closer to a Hippopotamus much more than a whales. This travelling exhibit is currently on display at the Quinte Museum of Natural History.
