What a day! Hugely humbling to see our young people support the launch of beach wheelchairs in St Andrews and widen access for all.
To quote one “I’ve wanted to come to the beach for years and now I can” truly joyful to see smiles on wheelchair users faces and explorers too.
Tomorrow night 7.30-9.30pm we’ll be undertaking a charity car wash for the @tourismstandrew Beach Wheelchairs.
Please spread the word. Only £5 a car.
Looking forward to transforming the cars of St Andrews 🚙 🚗 🚙 🚗 🚙 🚗
@NEFLindsey @cllr_verner Shocking, unacceptable. Renders it unsuitable & unsuitable for visitors. Not a great impression of SA’s either. It’s also used as an underage drinking den. Not idea why it’s not patrolled by @univofstandrews or @FifePolice
Great to have the Chair of Tourism St Andrews, Debbie McCallum, come along and share with us her vision for the St Andrews Beach Wheelchairs Project which is badly needed and will make St Andrews and its beaches accessible to all. A project we hope to support through fundraising.
How do you get teens to come out hiking with you? Great for mental health, bonding & teaching independence #getout#mentalhealth#greentherapy https://t.co/dnAOgN2kek
Much depleted numbers due to exams and recovery from weekend expedition but that didn’t deter 6 Explorers, 9km sunset circuit following in princely footsteps from Craigtoun back to base
Leaders and supervisors on Bronze @DofEScotland expedition. All conceding it was by far the coldest camp they’d done but smiley happy faces successfully completing their expedition and soon thawed all out.
