Earlier this year at SXSW, we facilitated event activations with our corporate partner Meta Platforms. We shared our education research including our initiative with the Getty Conservation Institute,"A Human Atlas Metaverse," which teaches youth about social change-makers in LA.
The competition has come to an end after 12+ months! We at Exponential Destiny are excited to share all 16 finalists performing teams! All participants worked hard on creating their VR experiences to build awareness, empathy, and education for their selected United Nations SDG.
Thank you to the Jefferson staff for helping us prepare for the event. This month we have the remaining group of schools to conduct workshops and we can’t wait to introduce more students to this project across LA!

We at @ExponentDestiny have partnered with the Getty Museum’s Getty Conservation Institute here in Los Angeles to translate their incredible Human Atlas project [https://t.co/3UgnKcPVp8] into an immersive & experiential learning environment in Virtual Reality.
Together we are hosting an outreach program in LA, partnering with teachers and school admin to bring into the public schools a workshop in which we put over 100 students in VR headsets to experience the personal stories of amazing role models and change makers in their community
We donate to each school new VR headsets so that the students can start a “VR Learning Lab” or club to help teachers explore how to incorporate this new tool into their course curriculum.
Students completed a survey about the workshop to assist us with our research to understand how to optimize immersive and experiential methods of learning using VR, and how it may be applied as an educational tool for teachers and students, particularly in under resourced schools
This past November we completed our first workshop at Thomas Jefferson High School in south-central LA. To prep for the workshop, each student completed a paper where they described a role model in their own lives, which was shared before immersing into the VR experiences.
He shared Exponential Destiny’s @ExponentDestiny recent projects using Virtual Reality and Generative AI (e.g., ChatGPT) to improve education in schools in under-served communities.

On Wed October 4th at the Los Angeles USC Coliseum over 5,000 high school and middle school students from over 80 LA school districts attended the annual “Tech Empowerment Day” organized by Delete the Divide (https://t.co/zy9WUSsZ5T).
The Human Atlas Project is a GCI initiative that nominates and profiles 100 social change makers driving impact from a community. These profiles are shared in a Human Atlas crafted book. We taking these profiles and transforming them into immersive and experiential stories in VR
