Customs Declaration Service exporter deadline extended❗️

Following consultant with the border industry, exporters will now have until 30th November 2023 to move across to use CDS for export declarations.

You’ll need to:
✅ Apply for any licences
✅ Have an EORI number that starts with GB
✅ Sort export declarations
✅ Classify goods
✅ Prepare invoice(s) and documents for goods

The Electronic Trade Documents Bill is making its way through Parliament! 📑

It has been introduced to reduce the number of paper trade documents printed daily.

Previously, all trade documents had to be paper-based to be legally recognised.

DEFRA has clarified which import system to use.

If already using the PEACH system, continue to do so until you are contacted to switch.

If importing goods for the first time from 01.01.2022, you must register to use IPAFFs.
