You buy a laptop. You tell the tax office it will last six years. You actually replace it in three.
Nothing illegal happened. But for three years your reported profit was too high.
Now do it with a hundred billion dollars of GPUs.
Microsoft, Alphabet, Amazon, Meta and Oracle all stretched how long they assume their servers last. In the year each one did it, the boost to net income came in at 4.1%, 4.1%, 4.2%, 4.3% and 4.6%. Five companies, five different years, almost exactly the same number.
Then Amazon reversed course, shortened the life of a chunk of its fleet, and said the reason was AI. It cost them a billion dollars of net income to say so.
Meanwhile Meta's own paper shows a 16,000-GPU cluster hitting a failure roughly every three hours.
But here is the twist: A100 rental prices are going up in 2026, not down. The bears may be wrong.
We wrote about how long a GPU actually lasts, and why a large slice of Big Tech profit depends on the answer.

Have you actually tried Ozak AI Eon yet? 👀
If not, it takes about ten seconds and costs nothing.
Eon is our agentic AI platform for traders. There is no dashboard to set up and nothing to configure. There is a box. You type a question the way you would say it out loud, and specialist agents go and do the work.
Try one of these as your first question:
- Is Bitcoin in a bullish or bearish phase based on recent market structure?
- Analyze BTC using RSI, MACD and Bollinger Bands for short-term momentum.
- Scan top altcoins for breakout setups.
What comes back is not a wall of numbers. You get where price actually sits, the levels either side of it, what volume is telling you, and a clear read on what it means, with the sources attached so you can check the work 🔍
And when the honest answer is to wait, it says so. It does not invent a trade because you asked for one.
The free tier needs no card and no trial countdown. Core AI agents, market discovery, screeners, portfolio analysis and spot trading, all included.
Ten seconds. One question. See what it gives you.

Coinbase’s x402 has processed $52.7M across 198.9M payments, yet TRM Labs says only a small share looks like actual agent buying.
The rest? A lot of it looks more like scripts running the same payments on repeat. At BoBe, we’d rather focus on real, trackable spot trading than AI hype.
💬 What do you think: real agents or just automation?
