This is why when people say that we need a "game industry reset" I just laugh to myself, wipe the slate clean and we are ending up in the same freemium place twice as fast.

My realistic hope is companies realize how oversaturated that market is and keep making smaller games

@NewtyButt No meta quest and vr is still expensive and depends mostly on having pc hardware which isn't in a good place rn. Vr dies either way without constant new games that people want to play and new people to play it and convince companies to make games.
