1/ Kasey Palmer and Bobby Reid starting in midfield point to a more attacking setup expect Jamaica to dominate possession this time around. Technicians in midfield.

2/ Hayden as single pivot ought to be wary as his midfield counterparts are attacking minded.

3/ Nicholson as the focal point to make the ball stick, while Dixon operates as the raumdeuter, drifting between lines and occasionally wide.

Noticeable lift when Nicholson came on more territory gained, better hold-up play, and chances created. His presence gave Jamaica a focal point and allowed the team to play higher up the pitch.

4/ If Richards is fit, he has to start. His quality is clear, and he links well with Dixon the two complement each other perfectly.

5/ Bobby as a first phase midfielder experiment needs to end, play him in the final 3rd watch him come alive!

Thoughts at the interval
🇯🇲 vs 🇨🇼 :

1/ Trying to press in a 4-4-2 with Russell joining Cadamarteri, but the press looks disjointed.

2/ Reid sitting in a double pivot with Fray isn’t ideal lacking physical presence deeper. If the team doesn’t press collectively, it opens spaces everywhere.

3/ Curaçao look sharp, building in a 3-2 shape and winning most duels in midfield. The surface isn’t helping either players slipping, key 50/50s lost → transitions conceded.

4/ Build-up has been poor, mostly long balls with little control. Fray struggling in possession and duels. Lembikisa’s and Campbells energy down the right finally pushing Curaçao back a bit.

Keep an 👁️ : The danger lies with Leandro Bacuna, Curaçao’s heartbeat in midfield. Experienced, composed, and technically sharp, he can dictate play or use his exceptional ball striking from range. Jamaica must close him down early and disrupt his rhythm to stay in control.
