@eops The first film I saw at the cinema - The Land that Time Forgot. The scene where a guy gets hit in the back with a jaw bone axe never left me. I was 5 at the time, not sure my mum realised what she was taking me to!
@eops@gregzee I used to play Logan's Run a lot as a child, not sure I've stopped actually ha ha. There was also a (probably terrible) series that I watched before I saw the film.
@tomptytom I will listen with interest. Who'd a thought this thread would end so well? They say you're never more than 2 meters from a sausage*

(*...actually that may have been spiders; they are definitely never more than 2m from a sausage)
I know let's saw down a tree, stand it up in our home and watch it die.
(* This is not a case for plastic trees, they are almost impossible to remove from a whale's blow hole)
A golden Thracian wreath from the burial of an Odrysian Aristocrat at the Golyamata Mogila tumulus, situated between the villages of Zlatinitsa and Malomirovo, Yambol region, Bulgaria. Dated to the mid 4th century BC...Just stunning...
I didn’t realise unpaid internships are still rife. My response when asked to work for free @brick_lane_art, the gallery which charges artists hundreds, sometimes thousands of pounds to exhibit their work.
@joemuggs Now that would really be something great. A giant purpose built hi-fi in an acoustically engineered space - no flashing lights, smoke or 'visuals'.
@BBCPanorama This brings to mind a conversation with an aid worker who spent time in a central African country dismayed to see vending machines in the most unlikely places where a bottle of Coke was cheeper than a bottle of water.
