I was at a sports bar boycotting Thursday Night Football earlier.
While I was intentionally not watching Josh Allen dominate the Lions, I overheard a group of young guys having a robust discussion about the state of our country over several domestic beers.
“It’s crazy how much cleaner DC is since President Trump cleaned it up, cuh,” a broad-shouldered, clean cut black man named Trayvon said. “The ballroom is going to be such a glow up for the White House once it’s built.”
“No cap, he’s a legend,” agreed Ignacio, a tall latino grad student with a dark mustache and deep brown eyes.
“Have you seen what happened at the Kennedy Center?” quipped a big, burly blonde country boy from Iowa named Hunter. “The President worked harder than anyone else before in history to restore it and return it to being a world-class arts and cultural facility, and the left has fought him every step of the way!”
Hunter was fired up now, breathing heavily with an ever-reddening face. “Donald J Trump had every right to be namesake to the Kennedy Center because he put his blood, sweat, tears, passion, and professional expertise into that building,” Hunter proclaimed, sweat beading on his brow.
Ignacio intensely stated, “the Don is the only thing standing behind our generation and nuclear armageddon and I am damn proud to support his efforts, even if that means paying a little more at the pump.”
“LFG,” Trayvon exclaimed, pounding his fists on the table and pulling a red MAGA hat out of his backpack and affixing it backwards.
I ordered them a round of beers and hit the road.
Despite what the media says, Gen Z is firmly behind President Trump and JD Vance!
