@Fake_TV_Chef It’s about a play on the name Swain - BoatSwain/CoxSwain. Loads of water references eg Big Fish (film Lisa and Betsy watched), Uncharted Waters linked to The Golden Hind (Drake’s ship)/aka gold reindeers in the flat - one leaping for joy when Carla and Lisa were in the bedroom
In 1991 Manto opened and changed Manchester. Massive windows, no more gays hiding behind closed doors. It’s taken #Corrie a Long Time to catch up with visibility. And if that Underworld balcony is a #Swarla Attention To Detail ‼️ - even more awards!
@clotimms Dusty as the wedding dance would be a brilliant nod to an icon and a great w/w film. I’m hoping for another with an Amanda Barrie cameo - maybe massive hat and dark glasses in the background of a factory scene
@WelshPolitics99@LauraMcAllister@LaurenMaeve@TrawsLinkCymru Another thought. Full rail connectivity would keep income in Wales/bring it- visitors from SW to NW, or outside Wales (also for the costal path.) Also additional income from the N to the S because it’s 2-3 hrs to Chester or Liverpool for a weekend but a 4hr drive to South Wales
@WelshPolitics99@LauraMcAllister@LaurenMaeve@TrawsLinkCymru 1/2 Support them to continue the planning/route protection/campaigning and enable their work where needed -eg local council approvals. The N/S line connections could be re-opened in phases to connect the N with the S again. Let the local, highly engaged, experts lead the work
@Emahinnit More of it over on Blue Sky 😉 They’re at it all the time. The heron cushion at the flat when they were House hunting - Heron House is Manchester’s registry office. Or the suffragette references - Lisa’s 🟣🟢⚪️ coat and the ‘face to face’ (shoulder to shoulder) proposal 😀
@thealwaystired It’s also a reworking of Ishiguro’s The Remains Of The Day (The book not the film.) This new scene at the table with Roy = Stevens and the now Mrs Benn
The Reduced Ishiguro Company!
“You're very correct, Mrs Benn….” “…time Becky, went back to Spain” Also, Lisa’s 1956 hair.
Brilliant @itvcorrie Thank you for #swarla
(More attention to detail over on Bluesky, but only if you’re prepared to believe your own eyes and ears)
