Good…no…
GREAT for Bam.
@Bam1of1
The guy plays the game and goes about his business. No crazy stories, no wild takes….no extra …
He plays the game and does his job. An Olympian and an All-Star.
Hats off brother. Congratulations🙏🏾
Imagine growing up in a single-wide trailer in Pinetown, North Carolina. Your mom is working as a cashier at a meat farm, grinding through 12-hour shifts, and bringing home maybe $12,000 a year.
That was Bam Adebayo's reality.
He didn't have the flashy trainers or the easiest path. All he had was a rim in the yard and a mother, Marilyn Blount, who gave him every ounce of love she had.
Bam didn't play for the fame. He played so his mom would never have to worry about a light bill again.
Fast forward to the NBA. The All-Star nods. The Olympic Golds. The insane 83-point game, surpassing Kobe Bryant's 81 for the second most points scored in a single game.
But none of that compared to the moment he bought his mother a home for his 56th birthday.
A real home. A beautiful, permanent tribute to her sacrifice.
But here's the most emotional part: Bam hung a framed photo of their old trailer right by the front door.
He wanted her, and everyone who walks in, to remember the struggle that built the person she is and the superstar he became.
Bam Adebayo is the living definition of family over everything ❤️
The NBA world praised Bam Adebayo after his explosive 83-point performance last night, but Draymond Green reportedly wasn’t fully convinced by the historic scoring display.
Green argued that the performance looked easier because Adebayo was awarded 43 free throws against the Washington Wizards, saying any player could reach that total under similar circumstances.
However, Norman Powell quickly fired back, joking that Green wouldn’t be able to score 80 points even if he played eight quarters. 😭💀
I’m convinced if Wemby score scored 83 points in the same exact fashion, y’all would be praising him. But because bam isn’t known for scoring, you guys are just hating on him.
Colin Cowherd on the criticism Bam is receiving for scoring 83 points:
“Bam Adebayo scored 83 points last night. Everybody is attacking him. This is what we do in America. The minute there’s success we have to tear everybody down. 83 is 83. He’s an excellent basketball player. When Wilt Chamberlain scored 100 points his team was fouling the Knicks to get extra possessions. When Kobe scored 81 against an awful Raptors team, the Lakers led by 15 with 4:30 left and Kobe scored another 11. Bam had 31 in the 1st! 62 after 3 quarters! It was totally legitimate! Every star in this league has had the chance to play the Wizards and they don’t score 83!”
