“We are not kurds or Arabs. We are Ezidis.”
During a live Nuçe TV discussion, Rîham H. from Sinjar asked Remezan Kerîm to stop calling her a “kurdish-Ezidi.”
This is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the harassment Ezidis face from kurdish extremists.

@LennoxGina No, ethnic minorities. They are attempting to minimise the ethnic identity of these Mesopotamian groups in order to assimilate them into the kurdish identity. Ezidis, Assyrians, Laz, Zazas.
I guess that @murad_ismael is an Arabic Yazidi, since he doesn’t identify himself as Kurdish, which the Yazidi faith is part of. And doesn’t see Sinjar as Kurdistan.
What happened to Kurdish Yazidi’s is a tragedy, genocide, there is no words that can describe the pain. However, the fact is, even if parts of Kurds did not stay to protect Sinjar, Yazidi’s are Kurdish.
Whatever nonsense he is saying can never change the fact that we are all Kurds.
@historyarmenia What does it mean a ”Kurdish-Yazidi” writer?
There is no such thing as “kurdish-yezidi”. One is either Kurd or Ezidi (not “yezidi”). What a pity that an account about Armenian history has forgotten what the kurds did to Armenians and Ezidis, among others.
Yesterday, after 12 years of waiting, the remains of 25 Yazidis killed in the genocide were returned to their families.
My brother, Heji Murad Basee, was among them. We finally had the chance to say goodbye. We continue to wait for our other family members to be identified and returned.
Six months after the historic conviction of French ISIS fighter Sabri Essid, the Paris Criminal Court has issued its decision on the civil claims, providing judicial recognition of the lifelong and multifaceted harm suffered by the survivors of the #YezidiGenocide.
This Monday, 3rd of August, marks the 12th commemoration of the #YezidiGenocide. That means twelve years have passed. The world moved on. But thousands of Yezidi families could not.

@_jvd9 blocked us after we called her out for deciding to label Ezidis, Jews, Assyrians and Christians as “Kurdish communities”. Why are you avoiding accountability for your words? You use our names to get support for Kurds, but behind closed doors you are an aggressor and tyran

Who gave Jino Victoria Doabi the right to present Ezidis, Jews and Christians as part of the “Kurdish people” at the European Parliament? Ezidis did not elect or authorise her. A microphone is not a mandate.
