FIRST Collective

We are a group of local artists, organizers, and community members who are interested in making art, creating social infrastructure, and fostering community.

We have demands.

🔥👇🏽MUST-WATCH — Fox reporter mocked mercilessly by Seattle folks for trying to make it seem like the city is a crime-ridden hellhole… yet for some reason they aired it anyway…

!!! Calling all artists !!!
We’re teaming up with @heertoserve to put on a poetry in the park fundraiser on October 20th at Goodale Park. We will also be auctioning off art work that we collect in the meantime. Suggested themes are “home”, “safety”, and “community”.

[FIRST Collective @F1RSTCollective]

September 29th marks six months since our friend Jeremy from Heer Park was killed. We can’t count on our hands the many others lost before and after him this year alone. Join us 5-8 at the Vanderelli Room to remember their names and honor their memory and the lives they lived.

[People’s Justice Project @OhioPJP]

This Sunday we are demanding Justice for them ALL.

Join us once again at Goodale Park Gazebo located at 120 W. Goodale St., Columbus, OH 43215.

For this weeks Wish List Wednesday we are asking for bottles of water and Gatorade or electrolyte packets.

Dm for pickup/drop off options

[FIRST Collective @F1RSTCollective]

Yesterday we gave out (12) 1 gallon jugs and (3) 24 packs of water. We are hoping to do another larger water drop this weekend.

[FIRST Collective @F1RSTCollective]

$10 buys 10 gallons or 2 cases of 40 bottles. An extra $5 would buy enough supplies to make 10 sandwiches to go with the water.

[FIRST Collective @F1RSTCollective]

We’re hoping to be able to do two water drops a week. This would be to our regular folx as well as to our friends on Parsons and at Heer park.

[FIRST Collective @F1RSTCollective]

We also take folx to access additional resources like the food pantry and help with things like food stamps and getting birth certificates.

[FIRST Collective @F1RSTCollective]

This weekend was outreach weekend (we currently do outreach every other week)! We usually have 3 teams of 2 go out to Eastland, Whitehall, and the Near East Side. Today we had a forth team go out to visit our friends on Parsons.

[FIRST Collective @F1RSTCollective]

Lots of sandwiches, bananas, chips, cold waters, and plenty of hygiene and harm reduction supplies were distributed.

[FIRST Collective @F1RSTCollective]

@firstcollective We appreciate all the love and support. Please share widely so we can continue to do this necessary work. 💛✨✊
