Hamilton fans are just as deluded about 2017/18 as Alonso fans are about 10/12, it’s actually shocking.

They’re incapable of accepting Merc was superior, *especially* in 2017 where the gap was significant.

1 - This shows how quick Seb was to make an inferior car look comparable, or
2 - they’re trying to justify Lewis getting dogged for the majority of 2017 and first half of 2018, so they shift blame to the car

@BarmiesNiagara @dr_ped @clappedsti I simply think he gets too much blame for Ferrari’s failures and the team gets too little. In ‘22 with a good car Leclerc made similar mistakes as Vettel did in his worst stretches and the narrative is wildly different

Then Ferrari started to Ferrari, forgot how to build a spark plug, developed the car backward, made strategy blunders, etc., and in that fire pit, yes, Vettel made errors

Vettel is one of only 4 drivers to have won 4 consecutive world titles in the history of this sport - and there’s an argument to be made that Seb had the most competition relative to Schumi, Lewis and fangio to reach that milestone.

Yet, people still question his legacy as an all time great on this app. Ridiculous
