@The_SA_Blog A6: Our Success Coaches will be doing outreach to #FirstGenShockers offering support as we transition back. We are also re-evaluating "normal" (b/c what is that?) office hours, dress codes, in-person only services/programs since we know some of it doesn't matter anymore. #SAChat
@The_SA_Blog A4: Basic needs and mental health should be the priority. We get it if classes/assignments fall down on the to-do list. If you don't know what to do, reach out to your campus resources and let us know you need help. There are lots of policies getting overhauls now. #SAChat
@The_SA_Blog A2: Admitting to our students/faculty/staff that many are new to online teaching and learning and we need to give each other a little latitude for going remote so quickly. Our faculty have been advocates for making sure tech needed doesn't require more $$ for students. #SAChat
@The_SA_Blog A2: Student Org Zoom meetings, @FairmountWSU faculty are calling students in their major, with some good success as far as students answering their phones! #SAChat
@The_SA_Blog A1: Also working with academic colleges, success coaches, Care Team and others to find out what tech resources students need (laptop, hotspots, etc.) and making it easy to pick-up. Shipped to out of town/state students. #SAChat
@The_SA_Blog Q1: Wichita State's First-Gen Coordinating Council pulled together information for a letter that we mailed to all #FirstGenShockers. Students are more than ever overwhelmed with email. Thought traditional letter might help. #SAChat
If you need help on final assignments, remember the Math Lab and Online Writing Center (and GEEKS for EN students) are all available in Blackboard. Links to all are posted on all main pages. 📚
