“Men do not differ much about what things they will call evils; they differ enormously about what evils they will call excusable.”
— G. K. Chesterton, born on this day in 1874
"The aesthetics of modernism, with its denial of the past, its vandalization of the landscape and townscape, and its attempt to purge the world of history, was also a denial of community, home, and settlement."
-- Roger Scruton
“I am convinced that God is love, this thought has for me a primitive lyrical validity. When it is present to me, I am unspeakably blissful, when it is absent, I long for it more vehemently than does the lover for his object.”
Our mechanical horse was taken out of service after we found a feral man living inside it during a routine 20 year inspection yesterday. We learned he had been manually rocking the horse since 2007.
The man admitted to exiting the horses butt area every night to scavenge for food before re-entering it each morning. We hope that your cherished memories of riding Buster are not ruined by this discovery.
