Frontier AI models just turned a newly discovered PHP2Shell flaw into a weaponized, active zero-day exploit overnight—well before emergency fixes could even ship.

When exploits move at AI speed, security teams cannot afford to wait for a software patch. The critical question is: what is actively shielding your applications right now?

Fortunately, F5 WAF customers running F5 BIG-IP, F5 NGINX, and F5 Distributed Cloud in blocking mode already had native, out-of-the-box virtual patching in place to automatically block these malicious requests.

We have deployed additional dedicated threat signatures for CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619 to ensure absolute, layered protection.

AI doesn't run in a vacuum. Neither should AI security.

We're excited to be recognized in the Market Shapers quadrant in the Gartner® Emerging Market Quadrant™ for AI Application Security in the September 2026 report.

As AI applications, APIs, and agents move into production, organizations need security that operates across the environments where AI actually runs. That's the challenge we're focused on helping customers solve every day.

Why waste host CPU cycles on L4-L7 token management and routing when you can offload it directly to the DPU?

@ServeTheHome's @Patrick1Kennedy hit up our F5 lab to benchmark BIG-IP Next for Kubernetes running on @nvidia BlueField-3 DPUs.

Testing against an Envoy software gateway on an NVIDIA H100 cluster under high concurrency and 20K input tokens, the hardware-offloaded architecture delivered up to 3.24x higher throughput.

More tokens, lower latency, and zero host CPU starvation.

[Tolly @TollyGroup]

New @TollyGroup reports: @F5 BIG-IP CNE vs. VNF on OpenShift
✅ 1.9x DNS throughput
✅ 91.5% less CPU
✅ 98.5% less memory for L4+CGNAT

✨"That’s so fetch."✨

We hate to break it to you, but just like that phrase, trying to secure modern, machine-speed applications with slow, manual patching cycles, is simply never going to happen.

This #CybersecurityAwarenessMonth, we're focusing on what actually works. As enterprises rapidly adopt production-grade AI and decentralized APIs, relying on legacy, fragmented security tools only adds complexity to your stack without closing the real gaps.

True modern security requires putting automated protection directly where your data flows. By building intelligent security guardrails and real-time bot defense directly into your application traffic path, F5 keeps your entire digital pipeline secure, resilient, and highly performing. ⚡

AI security is evolving as quickly as AI itself.

We’re proud to be recognized in the Market Shapers quadrant in the @Gartner_inc Emerging Market Quadrant™ for AI Application Security in the September 2026 report—one of just two vendors. 💪

As organizations move AI into production, securing AI applications, APIs, agents, and model interactions requires visibility and protection across complex enterprise environments. At F5, we're helping customers address those challenges by extending application delivery and security into the AI era.

[F5 @F5]

The window to strengthen cyber defenses is narrowing.

We’re joining @OpenAI and other industry leaders in calling for collective action to help defenders stay ahead of increasingly capable AI-enabled cyber attacks.

AI is creating new risks—but it also gives defenders powerful new ways to find vulnerabilities, fix weaknesses, and strengthen the critical infrastructure our communities depend on.

The opportunity now is to put cyber-capable AI in the hands of more defenders, share what works, and mobilize organizations, technology companies, governments, and the AI community around a stronger collective defense.

No single company or technology can solve this alone. Together, we can turn advances in AI into a lasting advantage for defenders.
