Fed up mom who's been abused in Family Court Purgatory for 3 years and lumped in under the label of 'high conflict divorce'. Court ignored all abuse from my ex.
New: A judge concluded the children were victims of “parental alienation,” which continues to influence family courts despite being rejected by mainstream scientific groups, and authorized police to use “reasonable force” to remove them from their mother. https://t.co/ah8clbcnJx
OH Officers were attempting to get 6 yr old to return custody to mom. Dad had been convicted & disallowed firearms.
During that time, officers heard gunshots. The father murdered his child.
Now, w 5th circuit decision, this problem will be even worse.

Elizabeth Peterson is a #FamilyCourt Reform Specialist and in this video, she describes the history of "parental alienation” (a made up concept and go-to defense tactic/weapon of abusers and their attorneys in family court). Video: @onemomsbattle

The term "parental alienation" or "parental alienation syndrome (PAS)" was created by Richard Gardner in 1985 for the purpose of deflecting the court's attention from child abuse claims against fathers.

"This weapon, disguised as a made-up concept, “could be used to distract the court from abusive behaviors & reverse the perception of victimhood in judges’ eyes away from children towards abusive fathers." - @grantwyeth#FamilyCourt@UtahAG@SeanReyesUT

"The “genius” of Gardner’s tool was that the more a mother or a child insisted that abuse had taken place, the more evidence of the “alienating” syndrome. He designed a trap".
Child protection social workers 'overlooked' a father's child sex offences and awarded him custody of his daughter. He then raped her and got her pregnant. He presented himself as 'cooperative' so his offences were catastrophically ignored.

@custodypeace 💯 my ex husband filed contempt because I didn't mediate something I 💯 correctly interpreted from the parenting plan. I got off with a warning, but essentially I will have to meditate all outside of the box issues or I'm in contempt. It's totally BS.
CT man kills ex w ax in front of kids
Pollack @nfvlcgwu said there needs to be stronger protections in these orders from the courts
“More address confidentiality. Less permissive child custody orders that continue to give them access,” she said.

Our research shows that 65% of abuse survivors of IPV, Spousal or Child Abuse had evidence that was ignored, dismissed, minimized, or refuted by the Court or their attorneys. #ExpertsForAmber#wespoke
Abuse requires an imbalance of power & control, so 'mutual abuse' rarely happens.
Being abused long-term distorts the survivor's behavior so they may look 'crazy' & 'bad', but it's the effects of the abuser.
How the survivor acted while being abused is NOT their real self.

This is a response to Dr. Harman's substack defense of Richard Gardner entitled Shooting the Messenger: The Character Assassination of Dr. Richard Gardner
“Perhaps the most terrifying aspect of the ‘reunification camp’ industry is that it is largely unregulated,”Pollack says.
“That’s because they register as ‘psycho-educational’ & therefore do not need the typical licensing required for psychological services,” Pollack says.
Controlling abusers usually don't stop being dangerous or abusive because you've tried to escape them
Yet in family court, a parent's (usually a father's) history of controlling abuse is very often mistakenly seen as historical & irrelevant to contact
#FamilyCourtAwarenessMonth
Throughout the United States, #Familycourt judges are ordering children to be removed (sometimes violently) from their safe parent's home and forced to reunite with their alleged abusive parent via something called a "reunification" camp. https://t.co/3Thqfw8shf @ksbw@latimes
“We want to spread awareness of what’s going on. We want to end reunification camps because no human should have to go through what Maya & Sebastian & all these other kids have gone through." - Maya's friend Kiersten Dungy, 16. @pajaronian@todd_guild
