FATFARMA - [email protected]

Federation of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Farmers for Market Access

Representing Telugu farmer interests so they do not fall prey to the "tyranny of distance"

[FATFARMA - [email protected] @FATFARMA1]

Fluctuations of vegetable prices during monsoons and other inclement weather means that our storages and value chain linkages need a complete overhaul.

The farm laws that have been withdrawn could have fixed this.

Govt needs to now do it on its own by seeding pvt capital

[FATFARMA - [email protected] @FATFARMA1]

This is very disappointing. Our farmers have moved ahead taking the full benefits of the law.

Dear PM @narendramodi, please do not fail the farmers of Telangana and Andhra by pulling back on this much needed reform.

[ANI @ANI]

During discussions, we said that govt is ready to put on hold the farm laws for one or one and half year. I'm happy that farmer unions have taken this very seriously & said that they would consider it tomorrow & convey their decision on Jan 22: Union Agriculture Minister NS Tomar

[FATFARMA - [email protected] @FATFARMA1]

@stackcook @saisatya14 @prime9news @abntelugutv @TV9Telugu We had reached out to @nstomar but we are still awaiting time from him

[FATFARMA - [email protected] @FATFARMA1]

Today's observations by the Hon'ble Supreme Court are really disturbing and alarming.

The court is a place to litigate and hence a natural place for settling grievances.

The court isn't a place where one will come to state on record how they love the laws a Govt has enacted

[Narendra Modi @narendramodi]

[FATFARMA - [email protected] @FATFARMA1]

Thankful that Agri Minister @nstomar has been relentless in his communication to farmers regarding the new laws and their benefits

[FATFARMA - [email protected] @FATFARMA1]

We endorse and fully support this statement by the agriculture minister

[Narendra Singh Tomar @nstomar]

आप विश्वास रखिये, किसानों के हितों में किये गए ये सुधार भारतीय कृषि में नए अध्याय की नींव बनेंगे, देश के किसानों को और स्वतंत्र करेंगे, सशक्त करेंगे।

[FATFARMA - [email protected] @FATFARMA1]

Thankful that Prime Minister @narendramodi has led from the front in defending farm laws & has once again reached out to the farming community in laying out its benefits.

These laws are truly transformational. Now go the full hog sir & DBT everything: Fertilizer, MSP & Power

[FATFARMA - [email protected] @FATFARMA1]

One way to doubling farmer's income is to move away from grain cultivation & look at sustainable fish farming.

This should be a natural extension for Telugu farmers, especially those from Andhra Pradesh.

We already have indigenous knowledge systems if we can address scaling.

#doyouknow Andhra Pradesh has about 13% of the total Brackish Water area.

@stackcook We have reached out to Office of Agri Minister @nstomar garu and requested for time based on his convenience.

Hopefully, we will be able to make our case at the earliest.

[FATFARMA - [email protected] @FATFARMA1]

AP is already starting a pilot in Srikakulam that will curtail power losses & indiscriminate usage of electricity for agriculture

What state needs to invest in is communication & sensitisation. @AndhraPradeshCM should continuously communicate with AP farmers to allay any fears

[FATFARMA - [email protected] @FATFARMA1]

Our stance on disproportionate amount of MSP related subsidies going to Punjab is fair criticism.

AP & TS also can also learn from Punjab in DBT in electricity.

In Punjab, farmers install meters & are paid based on power savings. This novel idea must be tried in Telugu states.

[FATFARMA - [email protected] @FATFARMA1]

@mnshzz Thank you for your feedback.

We work a lot on the ground. We came on twitter to put forth our support.

We will start putting up our interviews and messages on twitter as well.

[FATFARMA - [email protected] @FATFARMA1]

@AnnyDivya Thank you for engaging with us. It is heartening to hear that people and professionals from all walks of life are interested in the farm bills and to understand the benefits.

We invite you to our offices in Andhra and/or Telangana the next time you are here.

[FATFARMA - [email protected] @FATFARMA1]

Our statement of support to farm laws.

".. the current laws could result in disruption of benefits in some states which have been enjoying disproportionate access to government largesse"

This scorched earth policy of all or nothing is detrimental to farmer solidarity in India.

[FATFARMA - [email protected] @FATFARMA1]

On 13th December at 11:30 AM we will be releasing a statement requesting @PMOIndia to not back down on the farm reforms.

We will provide a list of suggestions that we think are in good faith and can hep break the deadlock and deepen the reforms initiated.

[FATFARMA - [email protected] @FATFARMA1]

India is a democracy and protest without perpetuating violence and disruption to life is a fundamental right.

FATFARMA has welcomed the 3 farm laws and have been a part of consultations at the bill stage

We are now on twitter to express our support for these laws.

[FATFARMA - [email protected] @FATFARMA1]

On 8th December, we had released a statement requesting @AndhraPradeshCM and @TelanganaCMO to not support #BharatBandh in the interest of the Telugu farmers

Releasing it here for wider reach.
