@ScotGovEdu@JohnSwinney@S_A_Somerville Thank you Mr Swinney under your leadership this Redress Scheme has become a reality as has, survivor services, apology law, changes to Timebar and a public Inquiry The Scottish Government has to commended for the actions it has taken since 2014
@jamiegreeneUK Mr Greene saying in Parliament that institutions need to do the moral thing is just such hypocrisy when Scottish Politicians of all parties failed to do the right thing by survivors for many many years as John Swinney had the decency to acknowledge today by Quoting Lady Smith.
@KimLesliePILAW Hi Kim,Thank you for all the support and legal advice you have given victims survivors over the years which has been invaluable. Also for your recent evidence to committee relating to the Redress Scotland Bill 2021.very best wishes David Whelan (FBGA)Former resident of Quarriers
@ladymcbeth2@JohnSwinney@joannaccherry@ScotHumanRights@AamerAnwar We hope sincerely that John Swinney listens to the wider survivors community and does not just play lip service. He has an opportunity to do the right thing since so many before him failed to do we say Remove the Waiver!!!
@CLAN_AU@BBCScotlandNews@scotgov@Milliganreports One would hope that Scotland learn from Australia but I fear not asking us to sign away our rights to take the abusive organisations to court while limiting their liability
@CELCIStweets Unfortunately not as we are expected to give up Rights by signing a waiver that limits liability on organisations where this abuse occurred
@Spotlight_CFC66 The Scottish Government seeks to manipulate the survivors in an unequal relationship by pretending it is supportive of the survivors aims while at the same time protecting the abusive institutions
@Spotlight_CFC66 The State simply failed in its past duty of care and did not inspect or regulate institutions where this abuse occurred it was responsible for so it is responsible for these systemic failures
@Spotlight_CFC66 The Redress Scotland Bill is not currently fit for purpose and seeks to have those abused in care in the past sign away their Rights to taking legal action against the organisations protecting them against liability proposing paltry payments on assessments by so called experts
