FBGC Emergency Management will be sending out teams Saturday and Sunday to assess flood damage on private property and assist with filling out the ISTAT State of Texas damage survey.

Avoid travel during the warning period unless you are leaving to escape high water. Do not attempt to drive across any low water crossings during this warning. Turn around, don't drown. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.

7/16 1:38: A Flash Flood Warning has been issued for southwestern Gillespie County until 6 AM Thursday. This includes Fredericksburg, Tivydale, and Harper.

Up to 1 to 5 inches are possible in the warning area by 6 AM. Water WILL collect in low-lying areas quickly.

Any areas on the western side of Gillespie that receive more rain tonight will be the most at risk of flash flooding.

Expect water to start collecting in low water areas very quickly tonight after the past two days of rain. The ground is very saturated.
