I have a philosophy I call my “Drawer a Day Program.” Whether it’s cleaning, organizing, work, or losing weight, I try not to get completely overwhelmed by looking at the giant task ahead of me. So, I break it down into tiny bites. When I had 100 pounds to lose, I just focused on 5-pound mini goals so I wouldn’t get discouraged and quit. Right now, going through my mom’s things, I can only do a little at a time. Amidst the tears that don’t seem to want to stop, there’s always something that makes me laugh out loud: the Foxmoor and Deb Shop clothes with the tags still on, squirreled away in a drawer, the note she saved from 7th-grade me desperately begging to go to a school dance, and most recently, this gem. This was on picture day, by the way. Can you even imagine what it looked like on a regular day?! That photo is exactly why I have such serious haircut PTSD. It’s Monday, the first of a brand-new month, so put on the big smile of 6-year-old me and let’s crush some goals one small step at a time.
P.S. To all my hairdressers over the years… hopefully this finally gives you some clarity.

@potatoslav I will never forgive @Clinique for discontinuing, the black honey pot gloss nor the metal flower honey version either. It’s nice that the colors are back, but the pot gloss with the brush was my absolute favorite. But you definitely married into the right family.
