7 years today since I saw @PrinceofpaceCN take on Greg Burridge in an exceptional LLL main event at ResGal.
Delighted to see Callum become IWGP Heavyweight Champion recently.
I miss those days!
@WillOspreay@PrinceofpaceCN I'm a casual wrestling fan, but I first saw Callum on an XWA show at ResGal pre-Covid and knew he was something special π
Congratulations to the Prince of Pace π
@OfficialHarwich Feel sorry for you guys. Now facing a fixture pile-up and, from my experience, poor/ridiculous ESL fixture scheduling is no doubt likely to blame. Challenge them and you'll be blocked, though π€¦ββοΈπ€£
@DougWilliamsUK And one of the best. Privileged to see you in XWA 2016-18, inc. matches against MVP and, memorably, James Mason at ResGal. What a special night that was.
Thanks for the memories, Sir π«‘
@Lee_C27@oiiimush@clowsley93@Brightlingseafc In my experience, it tends to be mainly financial.
As a volunteer who has never taken a penny from his club (and wouldn't want to) it's hard to accept that.
But I guess that's the difference. Fans are fans and players are players. There's no grey area any more.
@oiiimush@clowsley93@Brightlingseafc Yeah, you see I'm long in the tooth but I've got this crazy, idealistic, romantic notion that non-league football should be about community and the pride of playing for your local club and not money-oriented.
I appreciate those days are long gone but I'll never fully accept it.
@clowsley93@Brightlingseafc All I know mate is that ultimately, people within the non-league game seem to be entirely motivated by money these days and I don't personally think that's what it should be about.
We'll probably have to respectfully agree to disagree on this one.
