Students in Dr. Fonstad’s Probability Theory class had to put their knowledge to the test to complete an escape room review game today. They claimed their prize (more review questions!) in 57 minutes.
Thanks to Dr. George Hart for an amazing scholar-in-residence visit, which included a captivating public lecture attended by almost 150 people, the creation of 40+ new mathematical sculptures, and lots of inspiring conversations about the intersections between math and art.

On Tuesday, February 27 at 7 pm, world-renowned geometric sculptor Dr. George Hart will be on-campus to deliver a public lecture entitled "Making Math Visible" as part of his William and Marjorie Blackwell Scholar-in-Residence visit. Everyone is invited to attend!
Students in Dr. Hoehn's class on the math of computer animation created their own short animated films this month. On the last day of the course, the students got to see their hours of hard work come to life on the big screen at the Artcraft Theatre. What a fun experience!
