Volunteers from our Symphonic Band were honored to perform at today’s Village of Fredonia Memorial Day Ceremony. Many thanks to Commander Erick and Fredonia Memorial Post 59 for organizing the event and inviting us. Kudos also to these students, their families, and Mr. Bennett.
Many thanks to Mrs. Ihasz, legendary local High School Band Director and Fredonia resident, for coming in to work with our Symphonic Band as they prepare for their Spring Concert and NYSSMA Major Organization Evaluation next week.
Our 4th grade Hillbilly Harmonics are warming up to compete at the Darien Lake MusicFest competition this week followed up by singing the National Anthem's at the annual Buffalo Bisons Kids Day at Sahlen Field at the end of May. Best wishes to our youngest performers!

For the 14th year in a row, Fredonia has been recognized by the NAMM Foundation as one of the Best Communities for Music Education in the country.

Yesterday members of the Fredonia Symphonic Band participated in an almost three hour film scoring workshop at Disney World’s Imagination Campus.
It ended with them recording two pieces from Aladdin and syncing it to the film. Bravo to all involved!
On Tuesday members of the Fredonia Symphonic Band performed at Disney World!
After applying and sending in audition videos they were selected to play this week and participate in a workshop later this week.

Last night we had our annual Sitzprope. This is a long standing musical tradition where the pit orchestra and cast of a stage production rehearse for the first time.

On Friday we held our annual moving up days in Band, Chorus, and Orchestra. Our 8th graders rehearsed with our current High School students to get ready for next year. 239 students participated!
This weekend some of our High School student musicians were happy to perform at FCSD's Santa's Workshop. Many thanks to the HS Student Council for hosting such a great event for our community.
We hosted a masterclass for vocalists with Fredonia alum Michael Hawk. Michael is a professional vocalist and has performed in many roles across the country.
