π Thank You @LeesburgFire
FDE extends a big TY to the @LeesburgFire for spending time with our preschool, kindergarten, and 1st-graders. Our learners loved exploring the fire truck, meeting firefighters, & learning about fire safety in an engaging way!
In honor of Frederick Douglass Elementary's (@FDEStars) 10-year anniversary, students celebrated the schoolβs legacy with songs performed by each grade level, along with a special song written when the school opened by music teacher, Mrs. Petrosky.
Today our stars used our @LEGO_Education Spike kits to demonstrate force and motion! They loved using their 5Cs to build and code their arctic ride with their teammates βοΈ @FDEStars
We had the best author visit with @beth_wxbooks today!! She read her book, βHarriet the Hurricane,β and talked about her experience as a meteorologist! 2nd grade made connections to our weather unit and asked so many amazing questions!! ππ§π¨ @FDEStars
