@JiffyRugby@LeeJarvis10 The camera definition is better in the NRL but it’s way more than that. The UK video refs don’t seem capable of making a decision on first glance.
@wirecasuals@rugbyleagueontv One game was England, one was 2 towns in the North West. To be fair, if those towns were Liverpool & Manchester and they were playing football I’d expect a big upturn but it’s not that surprising. A further reminder of the hill yet to climb for the sport.
@SteveMascord It was the Madchester scene that got to me. Happy Mondays, Stone Roses - my first proper gig was the Charlatans. I was 15 - that was my version of punk. Probably the end of bands being like gangs that fans would devote to. I can't help being drawn back in - sounds of nostalgia.
@SteveMascord I try to occasionally and do pick up some gems on 6 music and off my kids but really, 90% of the music I listen to is from between 1989 and 1999. End of school and before marriage.
Sixteen years ago at a music festival in Washington State, a single man began dancing alone on a grassy hill. At first, people just glanced over or laughed, and even his own roommate warned him that people were recording. Still, he kept moving.
Soon, a stranger joined him. Then another. In no time, the scene transformed hundreds of festival-goers ran from all over the field to dance together, turning a moment of ridicule into a shared celebration.
A bystander filming from above summed it up: "See what one man can do. One man can change the world."
@WarringtonRLFC Fantastic game. A proper old school A-team battle from 2 stacked teams. @SuperLeague really need to extend this comp to home & away fixtures for player development.
@SteveMascord During the 70’s there were loads of blackouts in the UK - all due to strikes I think? I remember walking to my Aunty’s house with candles, all the houses were in darkness and all the street lights out too.
How can you not love @SuperLeague??
What a night for @YorkRLFC
Brilliant unscripted drama.
Wonderful. Sport at its best and a reminder than any outcome is possible whatever the outcome!
@NoHelmetsReq@YorkRLFC@SkySportsRL While we’re moaning, i really like the new brand brought in a few seasons back - but surely we can have a secondary, legible font for the names on the back of shirts?
@Bricktop_NAFO I’m shocked that he didn’t know how everyone feels about him? Is that’s what is going on with the rest of them? Talk about out of touch.
@NoHelmetsReq@johnnyddavidson I was talking about the RFL rather than the clubs but your point stands - you get what you pay for. There are many people, however with League close to their hearts who would help, yet there seems to be a mistrust of experts, opting for the fella from down the hall instead.
