I donโt speak French, so I didnโt understand a shit of what heโs saying. But if heโs trying to defend AI with that stupid โthatโs what traditional artists said when digital art came inโ argument, Iโll say it again, the debate in the 1990s was about the medium. You still needed real knowledge of anatomy, color theory, lighting, and composition to create a well-executed piece. It was still a craft, and traditional painters continued to be appreciated as a rare art form.
What do you need now to make a โgoodโ graphic? Just type a basic prompt in natural language and generate another soulless lookalike image.
And that leads to the next point. Now that execution takes minutes instead of days, youโd think we would have much more time to focus on the creative process. But thatโs not what happened.
What happened is that we started producing much more while spending less time on ideas, because who cares? And what makes a visual special when weโre all using the same tools and writing the same prompts?
Weโve reached a point where a visual has almost lost its value. Weโre all just feeding those capitalist monsters.
@sportingpress1@DBan_@EllisOseman Im a fan since the beginning of my career. Your stuff is beyond what a few ignorants could say. Iโm afraid I went through the same not so long ago but Iโm sure our knowledge is far from being replaced. Keep killing it!
@NortFX I still feel those with actual design knowledge will provail and stand out. I wouldn't trust my company's visual identity to a process where they are mostly pressing buttons and praying for the best. I still find a future where we'll be able to coexist
Jake Paul just went 6 rounds with Anthony Joshua, one of the best of the generation, and got up time after time after getting knocked down, even though critics said he wouldnโt last more than 1 round.
