This #TEZOSTUESDAY I'm sharing a very limited edition new digital work in my Wood Spirit - Amber Acid series on @objktcom. It's a new animation based on my physical sculpture made using #Midjourney and exploring synthetic biology
I've just added a new work on @objktcom from my Blue Flower collection made in Rome Botanical Gardens (Orto Botanico di Roma). It was a very physical work to create as I had to run around to digitally 'plant' the chicory using our AR app and continually step back to compose it
I've just added a new work on
@objktcom made in the Goethe's garden in Frankfurt with virtually 'planted' gene-edited wild chicory plants. The blue flower in German Romanticism inspired Goethe to write the "Metamorphosis of Plants" and he said "the unnatural that too is natural"
I have just collected "Blue Flower AR at the Romantic Museum with the Novalis Manuscript" by @AnnaDumitriu .
Very interesting project, discussing the cultural and symbolic history of the blue flower, recontextualized to think about synthetic biology and its future implications .
I've started a new collection on @objktcom featuring images of virtually 'planted' gene edited wild chicory plants inspired by biotechnology and German Romanticism. This image was made at the Romantic Museum in Frankfurt before Novalis' seminal text featuring the blue flower idea
I'm pleased to share a new NFT artwork on
@objktcom a still from my digital artwork "Susceptible" based on data visualisations of interactions between antibiotics, bacteria, international flight data and a forest of lung tissue. Collaboration Anna Dumitriu X @alexmayarts
I've just joined @objktcom thanks to @alexmayarts and we've launched my first NFT with a gorgeous still from "Susceptible" based on a data visualisation of antibiotics, bacteria, international flight data and a forest of lung alveoli. A collaboration Anna Dumitriu X Alex May
I'm doing a 'fireside chat' in London at 7pm on 4th June at Hoxton Arches for an evening event during #SXSW2025, talking about art-science collaboration, BioArt and innovation. It's free but there are limited spaces remaining. Join us!
