We have applied the skills we have been looking at recently in writing into some short burst writing. In maths, we have been continuing with our fractions block.
Yesterday, we completed activities as part of #MentalHealthAwareness Day. We created artwork, put positive thoughts into a jar, wrote about why mental health is important and discussed who can help in school if we are feeling worried about anything.
The results from sports day are as follows:
Phoebe W won the girls sprint race and the girls cross-country.
Samuel won the boys sprint race and the boys cross-country race.
Isabella won the girls javelin throw.
Caleb won the boys javelin throw.
Well done to all of you!!!
Chris led Prayer Club this lunch time for our children in Year 5 & 6; 15 children attended. 'The LORD is near to all who call on him'. Psalm 145:18. @projectouchline @Head_Freemans
The children created some very thoughtful artwork in their @projectouchline session that included faith, our school values and sport. Here are some great examples. @Head_Freemans
Year Six have enjoyed learning more about the Mayans and this week discovered more about what they believed and how this affected their daily life. Here is a fantastic example of a slide presentation that a group of Year 6 children have created this week. Well done!
This week, Year 6 have been working on using persuasive techniques within their writing. They have mastered the use of emotional language and have addressed the reader which has led to some very convincing, persuasive (slightly exaggerated) letters to @Head_Freemans
Harry has produced some fantastic work in Literacy this week - the children have been writing their own non-chronological report for their ‘hot write’.
