👀One To Watch: Shankland

🤔I should be an expert here, but its still a tough one to call in some positions. Gunn is the cheapest starting GK I have seen so far, but a lot of us, myself included want to see Gordon start, and it could happen.

Obviously the key fixture here is MD1 vs Haiti, and McTominay & McGinn are the standouts, however Gannon-Doak is really good value if you need a budget pick. Completely changes our attack and is nailed to start, more of a creator than a goalscorer though.

Finally striker is a 50/50 between Adams/Shankland. Shankland should start based on the season he's had with Hearts, but I can see us starting with Adams, and this is the kind of game he could haul in.

🤔Had a tough Nations League run in 23/24 finishing on 2 points with Serbia, Spain & Denmark. However, Switzerland blitzed qualifying finishing unbeaten to Slovenia, Sweden & Kosovo.

Thankfully they dont change their lineup too much, and I'd be confident to say this looks bang on, if the manager ops for 4 at the back.

Embolo has been killing it, but lack of penalties hurts him as a pick. Think its definitely a DEF pick here as with Bosnia, they look solid defensively and a favourable group could provide some clean sheets.

I’m still very open to having a Brazilian midfielder in MD1, yes the fixture isnt great amazing but it saves a transfer in MD2, and its not like Raphinha/Vini arent able to haul vs Morocco.

Also they are the 6th match in MD1 and are the first ‘big’ nation to play, giving a top class captaincy option early on that you wouldnt cover otherwise. 🇧🇷

Also makes it easier to double up vs Haiti in MD2.
