A hard fought draw against challengers Dundee holds the Bairns in good stead towards their charge for the league title.

Despite a below par performance, Falkirk maintain their lead at the top of the league. The Bairns are now unbeaten in 6 matches, with 3 wins and 3 draws.

A vital win for the Bairns against rivals Airdrie with things tight at the top of the table. Another Future Bairn, Owen Coyle, had his penalty saved by Gordon Marshall.

With a slump in form Jim and Billy bolster their squad with the £70,000 signing of Eddie May from Brentford. Eddie instantly makes an impact scoring in a 1-0 win vs Clyde.

Falkirk’s 15 match unbeaten run comes to an end against Raith. They won 9, drew 6, scored 36 goals and conceded 12.
Despite the good run, fans once again start to question their title credentials.

Bairns fans are jubilant as they continue to go from strength to strength, demolishing Raith Rovers 7-1.

With results starting to improve, Jeffries continues to rejig his squad with the additions of Alex Taylor & Neil Duffy. Fans favourite Peter Houston also leaves for East Stirlingshire after 8 years service.

Chairman David Holmes threatens to bar season ticket holders who have been showing their discontent to the clubs management. Holmes stands by Jeffies & warns fans to shut up or stay away.

Falkirk gain their 1st point of the season in a 1-1 draw against Kilmarnock. This follows losses against Hamilton, Clydebank and Thistle. Fans start to question the new management team.

Falkirk exit the league cup after a penalty shootout with the match tied at 1-1.
Peter Houston scored with a corner while Crawford Baptie was shown red for swinging a punch at Chic Charnley.

Falkirk’s preseason continues and the last friendly fixture featured a team from Mexico- @fcpumasunam.
Falkirk took the lead through Derek McWilliams but lost 4-1.

Yogi pulls on a Falkirk jersey for the 1st time in a friendly win vs Gretna.
He previously played for Jim at Berwick & was bought for £70,000. Money gained from the sale of Alex Rae. He made 36 starts.

2- 2nd Aug 1990
Simon Stainrod signs for Falkirk.
Soon to be known as God by the Falkirk faithful, Simon made 40 starts and scored 16 goals that season. He also won 1st division player of the year.
