If Scotland wants to be a climate leader it must give an unapologetic and resounding “NO” to new oil and gas projects, and formulate a plan for a rapid transition away from fossil fuels that centres workers and empowers local communities.
Youth climate group @FFF_Scotland said the Scottish Government has "talked the talk, but it's time to walk the walk."
@_DylanHamilton_ reminded the FM that "You can't make deals with physics, and millions of lives and the future are on the line."
Several climate activists in the global south received UNFCCC accreditation to attend #SB58 conference in Bonn Germany but have been denied access to visas. We request @GermanyDiplo to talk to all their respective embassy’s in global south countries to allow access of visas
Urgent appeal to the German embassy! African activists are crucial voices in combating climate change. Grant them visas to attend the Bonn Climate Change Conference (SB58) and let their voices be heard on a global platform! #BonnClimateConference#SB58#OurVoicesMatter
Our communities are on the frontline of the climate crisis, we are suffering the most, yet when it comes to decision making it is the biggest polluting countries who lock us out - STOP the discrimination #BonnClimateConference#SB58#OurVoicesMatter
The #BonnClimateConference aims to accelerate climate action. Denying visas to African activists undermines the conference's goal of inclusivity and hampers progress. The German embassy should rectify this by issuing visas promptly. #ClimateEmergency#SB58#OurVoicesMatter
Global South Countries contribute less than 4% of carbon emissions yet suffer the greatest effects of climate change and are usually denied from making contributions on agendas to be discussed. Voices of Global South Countries matter. @UNFCCC@GermanyDiplo#SB58#OurVoicesMatter
