165 last week, Gold Coast this week, Sunday game.. Ebony Marinoff is the obvious choice in Round 6.

Who will captain your #aflwfantasy side this round?

A few Round 6 #aflwfantasy thoughts on what to do at M5 now that most midfield cash cows have maxed out.

Most teams until now have fielded a rookie at M5 and if you haven't already gone shopping, this is the week to do it.

Some options at different prices:

Ebony Marinoff ($1.525m):
She's back. 165 last week, Gold Coast this week. Last chance to get her before she costs an arm and a leg like Round 1.

Jas Garner ($1.328m):
The obvious option for those with no budget after an injury affected score and drop in price. Won't get much cheaper than this and is a chance to be M1 from here on.

Kate Hore ($1.271m):
Would have been a steal two weeks ago. Still room for growth and could actually be a side-ways trade or even downgrade to Garner/Riddell next week if you wanted.

Charlie Rowbottom ($1.017m):
For those who can't afford any of the above. A top 5 mid in previous seasons who has hopefully (row)bottomed out this year. Still capable of 100+ scores from here.

Ally Anderson ($959k):
Another former fantasy weapon. Slow start to the year but comes off a 117, has an easy month ahead, and is 500k cheaper than some premos. Good option for those on a budget.

Claudia Whitfort ($776k):
If you are really on a budget. A slow, injury-affected start to the season made things tough but higher TOG% and a score of 89 last week are more reflective of what she's capable of long term.

Teah Charlton ($635k):
If you are REALLY REALLY on a budget. Pop score of 91 last week. Getting some CBAs, plays Gold Coast this week, and is named on-ball. Consider.

Familiar faces in Ash Riddell and Ebony Marinoff are hard to go past as usual while Laura Gardiner offers a great early-round VC option.

A few Round 5 #aflwfantasy thoughts on some popular picks:

Laura Stone ($682k):
CBAs and TOG% dropped to season lows of 27% and 55% respectively last round. Bridie Hipwell inheriting a lot of those CBAs and TOG%. Jas Fleming named this week also doesn't help Stone's case. Can't see much more cash gen. I think Stone to Toogood is an easy rotation to make this week.

Bonnie Toogood ($613k):
Yes. Get her. Price is too good (get it) to pass up for someone who should be F4/5 for the rest of the season.

Bre Koenen ($866k):
0% CBAs last week. Scraped 74 fantasy as a key def but without the CBAs I think we are playing Russian roulette with a basement score of well below her 73 avg. North Melbourne this week might give her some supply as a key def again but I'm nervous to hold her long term. $866k the highest price we'll see her all season IMO. Thomas ($809k), Watson ($783k), Heath ($725k) all good, and cheaper, alternatives.

Tessa Boyd ($621k):
Late out turning into a two-weeker is frustrating. Still has money to make when she does play and provides a good VC loop for this week. I'll be holding (for now).

Jas Garner ($1,422k):
Will drop another $100k this week. Then we pounce. Ideally Fish to Garner this time next week.

Zippy Fish ($955K):
Probably maxed out in price. Like I mentioned above, Garner/Marinoff probably a week away from bottoming out. In an ideal world Zippy scores 80 this week then we shake hands and part ways.

Mim Strom ($1,237k):
Bottomed out but still comfortably R1. Good time to make the jump from Morphett, Scholz, Edmonds, or Wales.
