At the Parliament House, a representative of the FFP met with the honourable Chairman Senate of Pakistan, Mr Sadiq Sanjrani on 23 November to discuss how we can get accelerate the legislative and parliamentary process of the Balochistan Food Fortification Bill @hammadkhanmarri

Now Sunridge Atta fortified with added vitamins and minerals such as iron, folic acid, zinc and vitamin B12 is available in the market.

For the sustainability of the quality assurance and quality control of the wheat flour fortification, the FFP has successfully handed over the quality assurance and quality control plan for the fortification of wheat flour to the Balochistan Food Authority.

FFP met with the Additional Secretary Ministry of Science and Technology. The objective was to seek support to include premix for wheat flour and edible oil fortification in routine monitoring and import clearance procedures of the Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa representative of the FFP had a meeting with the Minister for Food in Peshawar. The particular interest of the meeting was to discuss the progress of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Food Fortification Bill.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa representative of the FFP held a meeting with the Directorate General Food Safety & Halal Food Authority, discussed challenges the programme is facing for the implementation of fortification. The Director-General has assured support.
