As the CFB Season is wrapping up and we begin to move into the bulk of the Dynasty Offseason, I figure there’s no better time to officially introduce TheBakery!
(I realized I had never actually explained this thing I talk about all the time lol)
I’m seeing so many Packer Fans justifying Watson’s contract by saying things like:
“his importance isn’t just on the stat sheet”
So you paid the Sacrificial X $110M? Not sure that’s a flex
Christian Watson was paid as the WR1 that he is…
Would easily be the WR1 for the Bears and many other teams.
Elite talent, big time playmaker gets PAID!
ESPN sources: Green Bay WR Christian Watson and the Packers reached agreement today on a four-year, $110.5 million contract extension that includes a $31 million signing bonus.
@helio__centrist@NoFilm_Analysis Malik Nabers was WR9 and ADP27 as a rookie
Carnell Tate is presently WR10 and ADP32
If you’re taking Tate in the mid-3rd round of a startup, you’re likely expecting him to be your WR1. If he doesn’t have a WR1 season people will be disappointed at the hindsight opportunity cost
If you bid an Early 3rd and get Sorsby it’s a “sick, we got good value”
If you bid an Early 3rd and don’t get Sorsby it’s an “aw shucks, I guess we’ll have to take Arch/Moore/Carr/Sayin/Mensah/Sellers/Chambliss/Maiava”
(All of which have higher Bakery draft grades than Sorsby)
This doesn’t make sense
All reports said Arch was in the running for 1.01 if he were to have declared for 2026
And you’re tellin me Sorsby > Arch and that is equal to a Late1/Early2?
The math ain’t mathin
TheBakery has a 1st Round Grade on Arch and 3rd Round Grade on Sorsby
If Brendan Sorsby is forced to enter a supplemental draft, he will be a late 1st or early 2nd round pick, per @TonyPauline
“Presently Sorsby is graded higher than Arch Manning by several area scouts as we head towards the season.”
Not to mention that any team vying for Sorsby right now are better off not using a future 1st on him when the 2027 QB Class is as impressive as it seems
Teams like ARI/CLE/NYJ using a very early 2nd on a QB to still be bad and be in a position to draft a better QB in the 2027 Top5 is malpractice
Bid an early 3rd at best if you’re gonna be picking Top5 regardless of Sorsby’s impact
Isn’t this exactly what they did last year?
MHJ moved around the formation less than Wilson last season…
Also wasn’t how pigeonholed MHJ was to playing exclusively X a critique of Petzing after his rookie season?
Mike LaFleur on Arizona’s WRs:
Marvin Harrison Jr. will play the ‘Davante Adams role’ as the X receiver.
Michael Wilson will play closer to the core in the ‘Puka Nacua role’ as the Z receiver.

Kewan Lacy - 2027 Bakery RB3 (RB25 since 2015)
Malachi Toney - 2028 Bakery WR1 (WR11 since 2015)
Dante Moore - 2027 Bakery QB1 (QB21 since 2015)
*as of JUNE
Been tinkering with some basic Landing Spot analysis
Following the AJ Brown trade, Makai Lemon is back to WR1 for 2026 based on Adjusted Bakery Grade
He lands firmly in a group of “he might just go the fck off as a rookie” so that’s pretty cool
Hopefully you took him at 1.04 cuz you’ve already got a value win!
🚨 🚨 🚨
At last: The #Eagles are trading star WR AJ Brown to the #Patriots, per The Insiders.
It’s a 2028 first-round draft pick and a 2027 fifth-round pick going to Philly, as Brown reunites with coach Mike Vrabel. One of the NFL’s longest runnings sagas ends with a splash.
@BowTalksBall Golden was so mid as a prospect in TheBakery and he went to a team that had like 90% of its previous year production return
Royals was even worse as a prospect so having a higher landing spot adjustment still didn’t move him up enough to be in this Top25
