You stop to think Abraham went knowing God's prior promises and knew God would do something? He likely did. And so God did do something.

@DanielKlein42 @maklelan They existed in name, but in truth they were rebel servants of God. We'd call them angels now. Though that's a misuse of the term. They were originally to administer to the nations but decided to take dominion instead and rebel.
