That means you’re probably getting a less than ideal (Aaron Glen quality) Head Coach if you move on from Tomlin, who you’ll have to stick with assuming you draft a rookie QB high in 2027. This is the price you pay by deciding to feign relevance with Aaron Rodgers last summer.

For one, Rodgers needed a super team. But more importantly, not sure who out of Harbaugh/Stefanski/etc is signing up for Lamar and Burrow twice a year with an old, mid roster and no QB. You’re totally fucked now.

The major problem with letting Tomlin go is the Steelers have the *worst* value prop of any team with a HC opening. Old, mid roster that can’t support a vet FA QB into serious Super Bowl contention, and no serious franchise QB on the roster until at least 2027.
