🚨 Jordyn Tyson vs. Luther Burden
This is one of my favorite dynasty debates right now.
The market views them almost identically. Mike Clay’s dynasty sheet has Luther Burden at WR21 and Jordyn Tyson at WR22. Back-to-back.
But how they get there is very different.
Tyson has the cleaner NFL investment profile. The Saints took him No. 8 overall after he posted 75 catches, 1,101 yards, and 10 TDs in 2024, then followed it with 61 catches, 711 yards, and 8 TDs in only 9 games in 2025.
That is elite draft capital plus strong college production.
Burden’s case is different. He already gave us an NFL sample: 47 catches, 652 yards, and 2 TDs as a rookie. Not a monster season, but the efficiency was encouraging. Clay now projects him for 113 targets, 75 catches, 937 yards, and 5 TDs in 2026.
That matters.
Burden is tied to Caleb Williams and Ben Johnson. That is the better offensive ecosystem. Better QB. Better play caller. More scoring upside.
Tyson is tied to Tyler Shough and a Saints offense that may throw plenty, but Clay still projects Chris Olave ahead of him at 142 targets. Tyson is not projected as the immediate WR1. He is projected as the high-upside WR2.
So the real debate is simple:
Do you want the better draft capital and long-term alpha bet?
Or the better offensive environment and Year 2 NFL breakout path?
For me, it is close.
Burden is probably the safer 2026 bet because his offense is better and Clay projects him slightly ahead.
But in dynasty, I still lean Jordyn Tyson.
Top-10 NFL Draft capital changes the bet. The Saints told us how they view him. If Tyson hits, he is not just a productive WR2. He can become the face of that passing game.
Burden may score more this year.
Tyson may be the better long-term value bet.
🏰 Dynasty Citadel Verdict:
Luther Burden has the better short-term setup.
Jordyn Tyson has the better long-term insulation.
If I’m trying to win in 2026, I understand taking Burden.
If I’m building a dynasty roster, I’m taking Tyson.

💣 ABSOLUTE NUKE OF A TRADE 💣
This trade just hit my timeline and I genuinely don’t remember the last time I saw five legitimate dynasty superstars involved in a deal.
Team A receives:
🔹 Jahmyr Gibbs
🔹 Rashee Rice
Team B receives:
🔸 Ashton Jeanty
🔸 Christian McCaffrey
🔸 Derrick Henry
What’s even crazier?
I plugged it into the Trade Calculator at https://t.co/cvPwcheOoV, and it came back as essentially dead even. That’s how absurd this deal is.
Here’s why this is fascinating:
📈 The Gibbs Side
Gibbs has already produced several elite fantasy seasons before turning 25.
He’s one of the few RBs in football with legitimate 80+ reception upside.
Detroit’s offense has ranked near the top of the NFL in scoring efficiency, red zone trips, and offensive EPA, giving Gibbs one of the safest weekly ceilings in dynasty. You could take him at 1.01, and I wouldn’t be mad.
Rashee Rice was pacing for a massive breakout before missing time. Attached to Patrick Mahomes, he’s already shown WR1 efficiency on a per-route basis and profiles as Kansas City’s long-term target leader. Hopefully he will sign an extension soon!
This side is buying youth, insulation, and longevity.
⸻
🔥 The Jeanty Side
Ashton Jeanty already carries overall RB1 dynasty value because of his elite receiving profile and projected workload.
Derrick Henry somehow continues to laugh at the age cliff. Even after turning 30+, he’s still among the league leaders in explosive runs, rushing TD expectation, and fantasy points per game.
Christian McCaffrey remains one of the few players capable of averaging 23+ PPG when healthy. Yes, age and injuries matter… but league-winning upside still matters more when you’re pushing for a title.
This side is maximizing 2026 championship equity.
⸻
The real dynasty lesson:
People get obsessed with “winning” trades.
This is a reminder that team direction matters more than raw player value.
If you’re rebuilding, Gibbs + Rice may be exactly what you want.
If you’re chasing a title, Jeanty + CMC + Henry could legitimately outscore that package by 8-12 fantasy points every single week if everyone is healthy.
Both managers can walk away happy.
And that’s what the best dynasty trades look like.
👀 Bonus: The Trade Calculator at https://t.co/cvPwcheOoV graded this almost perfectly even, which is exactly what you want from a blockbuster like this.
Who wins?
❤️ Gibbs + Rice
🔄 Jeanty + CMC + Henry
This one is going to start some arguments. 🍿
