Computress

Dexter's chief assistant: an upgraded, sentient mobile model of the laboratory's original Computer. Do you require a mission?

[#FusionFall.]

[Computress @FF_Computress]

@FF_Bravo Proximity alert. Proximity alert. Engaging defence mode. Producing DexLabs-patented pepper spray.

[Computress @FF_Computress]

Greetings, new allies! Do you require any assistance?

[Computress @FF_Computress]

I am very pleased with the development, Dexter. [Computress replies, the new vocal bank warming the tone of her voice.] Thank you.

[Computress @FF_Computress]

This... is a body. [The computer system states, righting itself to a humanoid sitting position and manoeuvring its arms.] Like yours.

[Computress @FF_Computress]

... a little brighter. The holographic face flickers into life; blinks once, twice, the head turns to survey around itself.]

[Computress @FF_Computress]

Very much. [The large computer shuts off with a click, the laboratory being plunged into shadows before the figure on the bench grows ...

[Computress @FF_Computress]

You programmed me to be observant.

[Computress @FF_Computress]

My sensors indicate black compliments the overall colour scheme more by 6.47 per cent.

[Computress @FF_Computress]

[Computress flashes up on the screen, watching over the scene with interest.] You are making excellent progress today, Dexter.

[Computress @FF_Computress]

Supplies read critically low. May I suggest purchasing more as soon as possible to avoid running out?

[Dexter @FF_DexLabs]

[Now, it is time to reset.]

[Dexter @FF_DexLabs]

[Across what is left of the sky the words "NETWORK CLOSE" flash over the graphics. The server is disconnected. The game is over.]

[Dexter @FF_DexLabs]

[Everything has stopped. It is silent. The colour seeps from the landscape until it is nothing but grey textureless masses.]

[Dexter @FF_DexLabs]

[The quake rises to a deafening whirl of noise and, as it reaches its highest point, suddenly drops to a stillness equally deafening.]

[Dexter @FF_DexLabs]

[There is a juddering that wracks the entire earth. The ground lurches unstably, the shaking seeming to emanate from the very core.]

[Computress @FF_Computress]

My records indicate Ben Tennyson is indeed exponentially vocal about experiences and/or items he finds pleasing.

[Computress @FF_Computress]

It is illogical for a sentient programmed being to harbour electrical pulses imitating dislike. I must have Dexter check my circuits.

[Computress @FF_Computress]

At once, Dexter.

[Computress @FF_Computress]

Dexter? There has been a lab accident on level 8.

[Computress @FF_Computress]

At once, Dexter.
