The Ricky Pearsall concern is with the same PCL that he injured in Week 4 of 2025. He’s said that it never fully healed over the course of last season, which is why he wasn’t at 100% even when he did return. The 49ers would obviously like to extinguish these lingering effects

Inductive bias in ML are assumptions baked into models about the structure of the problem. Ignoring them allows higher ceilings to be found if data rich, but worse results when data poor. Deep data research can yield novel discoveries, shallow dives are worse than prior bias

@ElNostraThomas More us trying to squeeze more meaning from data where there really isn't any more there. Better to dive harder into the data that has proven to have signal, or a new data metric, or a new way to view proven data, than to waste time trying to find gold in your backyard again

With ML training, the optimal amount of resources put towards a model slides with the quality of the data. It waste resources to train more on data there isn't anything more to learn from. Instead of trying to squeeze more from bad data, give more time to learn more from the good
