@CloudZill4 technically it did, its just our imaginations overshot a simple glow effect. The people saying "non-canon" or "only male hedgehogs yadda yadda" didn't actually look into it beyond what others told them. Shadow calls them super forms/super powers in heroes. Plural.

@lamarfll @RainsyArt There's a multitudes of ways to handwave that. He left him there during mania instead of CD, the metal in CD was from the future and eggman used a replica until he finally got back to little planet. Metal has multiple bodies but the CD one is the best, or all of the above.

It means the real sonic went on to learn the same lesson later that day with the deadly six and tails.

It could just be energy, but I’ve headcanoned for years he was uploading all of the other metals memories into the original and the original just got back to his feet from sheer force of rage.

Evan made a weird call based on vague wording, I’m sure murder of sonic will be locked into canon once the next main line game establishes where in the timeline it is
