{ to anyone who still follows this account, please hear me when i say that you matter in ways that are almost impossible to quantify.
your value doesn't come from your following; your worth is subjective and will mostly never be understood or respected by many. }
{ for years, i competed in different games: melee, league, skullgirls, multiversus.
one day, i challenged a friend of mine to a violin battle. they won. i was pretty bitter, blaming my loss on crowd reaction.
i didn't understand my talents are deeper than just wins and losses }
{ now, here i am: one week before my 33rd birthday.
i don't wish i could talk to my younger self; she wouldn't listen.
i DO wish i could have talked to my friends and told them i learned and did i better.
i wish i could have told my father i love him more. }
Its called the FGC.
That stands for FIGHTING GAME COMMUNITY.
You don't have to be competitive to be here.
You don't have to be the best to be here.
You just have to be here to be here.
{ i have a lot of connections in the fgc that mitigate certain price points for me, but its still so freaking expensive. i just want to make a good event for everyone. }
{ i've been getting back into tournament organization and the most stressful part of organizing your own tournament series is funding it (setups, venue, stream) yourself }
If you learned something new in a game: even if you lost, you're a better person than you were when you started.
Unless you play JP in Street Fighter 6. That character is bullshit. You have no excuse.
