Ninja Gaiden 4 might be the first non-fighting game where when I boot it up after not playing for a few days, I say to myself “I’m really rusty, let me go to training mode real quick to warm up”
Come to think of it, either the opponents hurtbox is extended when they get hit by EX High Tiger, or because Sagat moves forward a bit during the animation, he’s closer to the opponent until the animation completes. Either way, pretty cool.
Interesting quirk with Sagat. Landing EX High Tiger seems to extend the opponent’s hurtbox, making cancelled super arts reach in certain scenarios where they normally wouldn’t

Sagat experiment is going pretty well so far. No clue how good he is and I’m concerned with his effectiveness against mobile characters like Bison / Kim / Deejay (matchups that I don’t like with JP), but he definitely isn’t bad. Gonna keep at him for the long run
Me fighting the urge to tech a throw when I’m almost in burnout and get gauge back, knowing that my opponent will use this against me and probably shimmy me
Khazan’s final boss is literally like trying to beat someone whose played Tekken since 1994
Even after 144 attempts, they both do moves and combos that I’m seeing for the first time
