CLAYFACE is like a Dimension Films release that was shelved in 1998 due to SFX limitations and is now finally getting its release and I mean this in the most complimentary way. The most “90s movie” made in years.

Just finished #CLAYFACE here are my takeaways

- Brilliant acting, Tom Rhys Harries puts in the performance of a LIFETIME
- Mike Flanagan wrote an incredibly complex character that the audience feels sympathetic yet for also uncomfortable around
- Great pacing on the film, no time is wasted it does not overstay its welcome and delivers at every minute
- PHENOMENAL storyline with BRILLIANT scares and twists
- I love that they embraced the fact that this is a VILLAIN film and not some anti hero stuff like Sony does
- DCU Gotham looks PERFECT, absolutely PERFECT
- Mike Flanagan wrote a BRILLIANT script and James Watkins delivered an AMAZING film
- If this is @JamesGunn’s DCU I CAN’T GET ENOUGH!!!
- This model of smaller budget character study film will go a long way, excited to see what other characters they do this with
- I predict a $300M plus Box Office

SOLID 9/10 it is a MUST WATCH in theaters
